WonderBrat Books!

As a wee lad of 9 or 10, way back in 1979, I was given an assignment by my teacher – to write and illustrate a story.

We were probably given more instruction than that, but that’s all I remember.

I decided to create a story about a little boy who is, well, a brat.  The illustration is of him standing on his mother’s couch with muddy feet.

Sadly, I don’t have the original illustration or story any longer.  However, that little assignment planted a seed in my mind that is still growing today!

I created a superhero named the Mighty WonderBrat.  He’s a very reluctant, self-centered superhero.  He’s the kind you call when absolutely no one else is available.

I created one of my very first comic books, entitled, appropriately, WonderBrat.  I started drawing like a fiend, and really didn’t slow down for another year or so.  In fact, it was the most prolific drawing period of my life, to date.

Anyhow, without further ado, I now present that book, and the many that followed it, in the links below.  Enjoy!

1. WonderBrat – Round 1

2. WonderBrat Strikes Again!
